IMF wonk advocates lowering your credit score if you commit web browsing ThoughtCrime, Use the Brave Browser
self

It wouldn't be individual no-no thought crime sites, it will be broad data registries of dissident, forbidden sites. They'll follow China's pioneering Redlight-YellowLight-GreenLight social conformity app without which you can't even go outside. Winston Smith thought he could evade the spy TV without an off switch, they were watching him the whole time. The Brave browser automatically uses the anonymous StartPage browser, but that's easily hacked & cracked. Just go off the grid. We'll have to stop using money. Americans before 1880 weren't wage slaves, they were taught to be self-employed small farmers who only bartered a little. Remember that they're arrogant and stupid. Take joy in evading control.

50 years ago some wonk dreamed up the credit card industry, by moving their legal operation to Delaware where there was no loan-sharking limit, now most people carry $1,000s of debt whereas they used to save money, not accumulate debt. The system is wired to have us running the rat-race maze. The beginning of conceiving of workable agrarianism is Luke Skywalker when he was down on the farm repairing his family’s agricultural robots. Agrarianism is very tough, we would think of our ancestors as doing chores all day, but we’ve been enslaved to be dependent on modern conveniences. But what will people do if it all crashes? The most dependent, those who can’t conceive of how to survive, will starve off first. People who learned 4-H as kids can teach survival. 100 years ago, everyone who was moving off the farm where prior to the mechanization of agriculture 97% of the population were on the farm, when they were crowded into dirty, dangerous, ugly cities, still had the sense to aspire to get back to the farm. (It’s what my Irish grandparents did after their restaurant for the Chicago shipyards trade crashed after WW1, they went down to farm in gulf shores Alabama, across from Mobile Bay in Fairhope, then the Dad went back into ship building himself in Pensicola after the panic was over.) Those who can’t support themselves for basic life needs, will become increasingly enslaved.

An old fashioned BBS PROGRAM idea.

No cloud storage if having trusted shared server admin co-hosting.

SyncTERM is a very nice BBS terminal program for Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X that supports traditional IBM PC fonts and ANSI graphics. And if you’re a vintage computer fan like me and have an old computer or laptop. Or if you like a couple of raspberry Pi 4 8gig memory.... Old router will do and can even run on low bandwidth usage.

I am of an age where my credit score no longer is a concern to me.

However, for the young and restless, this will be one of many ways to keep the 30 year old’s in line.

Rolling IP addresses can be used, forgot that part.

In effect the forum we are now on is the modern day version of the original text based BBS services that were the original chat and social media platforms.

Well sure! china already has the social score system in place. You get points for being a good sycophant submissive mind-numbed little commie, and lose points if you ever think thoughts like “freedom of speech” “individual liberties” “rights of the individual” “non conforming.”

I never thought for a moment that the left in this country wasn’t salivating at the thought of starting this up here. They just needed an excuse, a distraction. Now they have it. And it came from china - how ironic!

In his film BrazilTerry Gilliam envisioned a future where the totalitarian state used credit ratings as the ultimate punishment. How prophetic:

It really should have been a comment on the original post that included a link, rather than a vanity without context. Basically, some IMF wonk wrote a paper proposing they lower credit ratings on anyone who visited websites that are critical of the government. Here’s the post from yesterday Chuck is talking about:

So why can a service company (our Internet provider) use our personal information without our express approval? We pay them for the right to get on the web, not for them to resell our personal information.

Would HIPAA laws need to come into play before we have any protection? Or other privacy laws, such as banking rules?

It could be as easy as bringing the EU rules on Internet privacy and security over here. Maybe Trump needs to strengthen privacy laws?

This is like China’s Sesame Credit system. Like a Tianamen Square meme, score goes down, have to pay more to rent a car and aren’t eligible for a plum job.
