Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez recorded her experience getting the COVID-19 vaccine and shared it with her 8.2 million Instagram followers.
The freshman representative of parts of The Bronx and Queens on Friday night shared video of herself in the lead up to the shot — including filling out a questionnaire — the injection itself, as well as how she felt afterwards.
“I would would never, ever ask you to do something I wasn’t willing to do myself,” she wrote in the post.
The Democratic socialist also answered questions from followers, saying she was experiencing some minor symptoms after the inoculation.
“I have a little muscle soreness in my arm which is not unusual with any shot. The second thing that I’m feeling is fatigue — but also, it’s been a really long time since I had a break,” the rep said, alluding to the weekend’s marathon session on Capitol Hill.
Ocasio-Cortez also tried to explain in layman’s terms how the mRNA vaccine differs from a traditional inoculation — by teaching cells how to make a protein that triggers an immune response, instead of injecting the patient with a weakened or inactivated strain of the virus.
“It’s kind of like the difference between if you had a burglar and then he broke into your house and you learn to to fight him versus if someone gave you a picture of the burglar… if you see that picture and you see that guy walking towards your house, you’re like ‘oh I know that guy, he’s a burglar,'” the 31-year-old said.

I was part of the generation that it should have scared, but I had already had enough other water incidents that I stopped venturing out in boats that were well off shore. I like to to be able to see land when I’m in on a boat. So no cruises for me, even before CoVid.
As I said, Jaws should’ve scared me from swimming in the ocean. It didn’t, I still do. However, if you want to take me deep sea fishing, you better find someone else to go with you. It won’t be me.

How are all of these useless politicians getting COVID vaccines when only about 900 doses are available at my local hospital and they will be given to frontline workers and nursing home residents? The rest of us including older people aren’t getting it. AOC is paying someone to enable her to jump the line ahead of those who are truly needy?

obviously this has nothing to do with mRNA vaccines, but you mentioned that covid did not cause sterility, (which has not been proven btw) I thought you might be interested in the study I listed.
as far as the mRNA vaccine goes it is a much different and was pretty much theoretical until 10 years ago.

Hell, I suspect that it has NOT BEEN PROVEN that drinking Coca Cola does not cause sterility. Perhaps you can provide such a study about Coke? Even absent that, I’m on pretty safe ground saying that Coca Cola does not cause sterility. Just as I think I’m on pretty safe ground assuming Covid-19 does not cause sterility. There’s so much MISinformation and plain silliness being thrown around about COVID-19 vaccines... it’s PATHETIC and wearisome.

You old enough not to care, but there have been no reproductive studies, and there is ample cause for concern.
I am on record saying if i would consider taking the sputnik vaccine, or some of the others which use conventional (well understood) technology.
But in the case of novel mRNA vaccines there is very little data, certainly no long term data on autoimmune disorders, but feel free to do what makes you temporarily? Feel good.
That vaccination record card looks easy enough to fake.
