The Trump campaign on Sunday filed a writ of certiorari to the US Supreme Court to reverse several Pennsylvania Supreme Court rulings that changed the state’s mail-in ballot law before the 2020 election.
The Trump campaign alleged in its filing that the Pennsylvania Supreme Court violated Article II of the US Constitution and the Bush v Gore SCOTUS ruling.
"Article II of the Constitution provides that “Each State shall appoint [electors for President and Vice President] in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct.” U.S. Const. art. II, § 1, cl. 2 (emphasis added). That power is “plenary,” and the statutory provisions enacted by the legislature in the furtherance of that constitutionally-assigned duty may not be ignored by state election officials or changed by state courts. Bush v. Gore (“Bush II”), 531 U.S. 98, 104-05 (2000).” the Trump campaign wrote in its appeal to the Supreme Court.
The petition also cited a “related Pennsylvania case” – Republican Party v. Boockvar where Justices Alito, Clarence Thomas and Gorsuch observed the constitutionality of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court’s decision to circumvent the state legislature and unilaterally extend the deadline for receipt of mail-in ballots THREE DAYS after Election Day.

In light of all that has transpired over the last 4 years,
It's an easy guess that the elections are totally in the Communist bag now.
The Supreme Court does watch such things.
Perhaps this is why Lin Wood has been saying what he has been saying about John Roberts. Scare Roberts into taking this case.
The pa supremes violated
State and federal constitution... but court seems unwilling to
Do anything
Will a lawsuit be filed over CA violating its own state election laws in printing its 2020 ballots without the proper language? According to California law, those ballots should not be counted, I understand.
KNOW WHAT I THINK? SCOTUS needed to slap us down the first time to show they’re not a bunch of lock-step types. If they reverse themselves on this one it will ‘look’ evenhanded-fewer riots. Just like “You’re fired!” It changed the firing reaction so that fewer people went postal.
That’s possible.
It does appear that massive "mostly peaceful" protests do have an effect on the court.
I hope the peaceful protest will be held at the steps of the Supreme Court.
Presuming they grant cert which is doubtful..oral arguments will probably be in April 2021 and the decision likely would come down at the end of the term around July 1st 2021 and they would likely just say don’t do that again....
This case even if accepted won’t won’t overturn the election but it could plug one of the holes in election law.
That's exactly what he is thinking, some are just a little slow on the uptake. Fear of unpleasant consequences is what works. Showing up carrying signs and baking cookies for everyone then cleaning up the entire area better than before arrival is a concern to no one.
It is in God’s hands. Only he can fix this mess. And I, for one, believe he will. Whether he uses the SCOTUS, or another method, he is victorious. “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God, to the pulling down of strongholds”. 2 Corinthians 10:4
Sorry, the President doesn’t have ‘standing’. No one has standing as a matter of fact.
Same here.
PRAY!!!
It’s a good case. The Court should hear it. It won’t discount the PA votes, but it would allow the PA legislature to invalidate the certified electoral votes.
Fortunately, Trump definitely has standing. But will the case be considered moot? Depends on the relief sought.
The USSC does not fear the people and has no honor for the constitution. I expect nothing from these traitorous cowards.
[Sorry, the President doesn’t have ‘standing’.]
Based on what specific part of the case?
John Roberts is a bought-off piece of stinking excrement. He is the antithesis of what a Supreme Court Justice should be. How much leftist garbage is he going to pollute all our lives with? Recall this piece of filth.
