I think we all knew this was going to happen.
In an update to a webpage titled What You Should Know About COVID-19 and the ADA, the Rehabilitation Act, and Other EEO Laws, the EEOC issued guidance to employers that permits them to require proof of Wuhan vaccination by workers and gives them the authority to bar unvaccinated workers from the workplace.
This is how CBS reports it:
With the first doses of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine now being administered in the U.S., the federal government is giving employers around the country the green light to require immunization for most workers.
In general, companies have the legal right to mandate that employees get a COVID-19 shot, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) said Wednesday. More specifically, employers are entitled — and required — to ensure a safe workplace in which “an individual shall not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of individuals in the workplace.” That can mean a company requiring its workforce to be vaccinated.
The authority comes from the purported right of an employer to make a definitive judgment about whether an unvaccinated employee presents a direct risk to customers and co-workers.
Like anything else dealing with this self-inflicted crisis, there is an amazing amount of bullsh** involved. Basically, businesses are forced to follow CDC guidelines. Not because the guidelines are either science-based or could pass for common sense under even a dim light, but because insurance companies are almost certain to require vaccinations in order to retain liability policies.
One thing that caught my eye is that the guise under which employees would be barred from work is that they could, even without the disease, give the disease to others. But we are being told that getting the vaccine does not prevent you from spreading the disease. This is how the abortionist who is now a medical commentator for CNN explains it:
This is the main reason why we can’t stop wearing masks right after we get the vaccine. The vaccine will protect you from getting ill and then ending up hospitalized. But it’s possible that you could still carry the virus and be contagious to others. So those who get the vaccine should still be wearing masks and practicing physical distancing.
All in all, this leads us back to this virus being used as a weapon to attack civil liberties. This is a way of forcing mass inoculation of our population with a vaccine that was rushed into production. If the purpose of the vaccine is to protect individuals, they need to have the agency to make that decision for themselves. In the case of the Wuhan vaccine, unlike any other vaccine, we are going to be forced to submit to the vaccination as the price of being allowed to work.
It's not like there are laws anymore, are there?
5-4 decision in SCOTUS when it gets there in favor of no requirement.
i dont count on roberts being on the proper side
“i dont count on roberts being on the proper side...”
Agreed. I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt on this one.
Yes. I should be required to risk an allergic reaction and my life to keep a part time job that pays eleven bucks an hour.

How do you obtain a certificate like that? Will they be available on Amazon? Asking for a friend.
I realize that I am a completely ignorant, redneck, Red-State dweller, but isn’t a vaccine supposed to PREVENT you from catching an illness? And if that is correct, why would someone who HAS taken the vaccine be threatened by someone who HAS NOT taken the vaccine?

Stop asking logical questions!

Taking it further, does this mean an employer requiring vaccination is accepting liability if it causes you harm?
Awesome point. The vaccine companies have no accountability because the government grants them immunity (no pun intended) from prosecution when their “product” harms us. But an employer has no such legal protection.
But I am sure Commie Harris will sign an executive order giving private companies immunity.
Now that hydroxychloroquine will no longer kill you, due to the outcome of the presidential "election", we're good to go.
Not if the employer also requires you to sign a waiver in order to work.
Nope, because they’ve got the brains of a frog.
Require you as a citizen to take an experimental vaccine? Great.
That really PISSES ME OFF !!!
“so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark...”
Well stated.
