Trump should sit on this bill until the last moment, then veto it.

It’s like the GOP is determined to lose the Senate.

The fabulously wealthy politicians couldn’t care a whit about getting ordinary people back on their feet. They want to get out of D.C. as quickly as possible so they can enjoy their Christmas feasts in their warm mansions, as millions face imminent eviction from their rented apartments.
Pardon my cynicism about all this. The president did all he could, but the swamp is deeper than ever.

concerns about the country's debt It's like pigging out on a 5 pound box of chocolates, then saving the last piece because of being on a diet.

Do the $1200. The money goes back into the economy and boosts the retail sector. Less unemployed is a benefit.
Time to open things up...what will be will be.
To: Jeff Chandler
That’s what I’m saying. Why limit to $1,200, go for $12,000, or even $120,000 at this point. Who cares, none of it matters. Fed can just put it all on their balance sheet. Why are they so stingy anyway?

That $1200 only serves to place future generations in debt.
To: Onthebrink
I agree. These “money for nothing” payments don’t belong in a bill that should be relief for sufferers.
To: Onthebrink
I wonder how much in this bill is earmarked to go to cities and states that have dug themselves into bankruptcy?

Better to give the money to us (I object to the $75K limit) rather than other political units.

Damned right.
The Republican party talking about debt and spending now is utter hypocrisy.

That ship sailed years ago and has no destination. Spend it, spend it all and blame the Dems and media.

The French Laundry Restaurant has probably put a dent into their $2.4 million PPP funds by now. Joseph Rice, trial lawyer and Biden bundler crony received $7.03 million of PPP funds after partaking in settlements for $206 million with Teva, and $26 Billion with J&J.
Time to hand out another round payments to the favored liberals.
