Gramsci’s concept of “egemonia” is one of the most brilliant things I’ve ever read, still brilliant even after 100 years of paradigm shifts and social upheaval and change. It goes way beyond the English word “hegemony” and its potted-plant definition. No, Gramsci would have disowned all these people who invoke his name or use it to give “cache” to their movement, which is about nothing but an authoritarian/totalitarian power grab to get all they can , as the “local heroes” of the Global Reset. I daresay both he and Marx were smart enough to see how they were being misused. The thugs that helped put us in our current condition are bought and paid for anarchist/terrorists who are the equivalent of the brownshirts, or Mao’s Red Guard, and , yes, it’s George Soros and our own corporations that are funding that destruction, astonishingly. They are about to be granted ACTUAL “legitimized” power as of Jan. 20th, if all goes well for them. So they will no longer be operating as a mysterious “grassroots” collective of roving destroyers outraged over “the murder of George Floyd”. Yes, this is scary. But don’t “believe the hype” that Pete Buttigieg or anyone else continues a long line of Communist philosophers started by the likes of Marx,Engels or Antonio Gramsci. All of them , especially Gramsci, would have recognized the character of what our fatuously called “Left” really is, and that’s FASCISTIC, overlaid and undergirded with a LOT more complications that the 19th or 20th Century could even dream of. It’s a whole new world, and the analytical tools of Gramsci could be easily applied to this current Democratic Party. I mean, could Marx’s “Workers of the World, Unite! You have nothing to lose but your chains!!!” actually be applied with a straight face to this amorphous ragtag amalgamation of non-working but well-funded losers who constitute “Democratic” voters???

Of course, having said all I just did say, I didn’t actually read the Ammo.com dissertation on Gramsci, or your link. Maybe one or both of them echoes some of what I wrote.I was just triggered by the word “Buttigieg” and the laughable pretensions these academic types have and the lengths they’ll go to to give themselves some unearned historical “status”. Oddly, it’s yet another form, as they see it and feel it, of virtue-signalling, and yes, even a favorite bugaboo of theirs, “cultural appropriation”. It’s going to be a rocky four years with Biden in the WH, having to deal with manifestations of this stuff probably on a daily basis. NOT going to go over well with 75 million and growing “enemies of the state” bracing to see how they’re going to get victimized next.
