As I said on another thread about this...
Hi All.
IT DOESN’T MATTER !
It doesn’t matter what the league or team owners want to call it, I will ALWAYS, for the rest of my earthly days call the Cleveland baseball team the INDIANS and I suggest that those here who are Indians fans NEVER use any of the fake monikers foisted upon the Tribe.
When the season is going again call the team offices and tell them you want seasons tickets to watch the Indians. When they tell you they’re some other name that’s the time to say “Never-mind”
Call the local Mockingbird Media outlets and ask if the Indians won today. Don’t buy any merch with any name on it other than Chief Wahoo and Indians on it. Get clip art and make your own merch.
WRITE letters and send them by smail-mail. E-mails just go in the bit-bucket, phone calls might get logged but to really get noticed a letter to Lawrence J. Dolan - Owner or
Paul J. Dolan - Chairman/Chief Executive Officer. By doing so it has to be handled, opened and read by an executive secretary because that letter could be of importance. When the mail comes in by bags and buckets it does get attention.
I have not watched an Indians game in years, but...
I’ve listened to every game for years on the radio. You can’t beat Hammy’s calls and a radio generates no ratings - the best of both worlds.
I predict the team will be sold for a dime on the dollar by the end of the next MLB season.
This is a phony issue created by the left and their allies in the media.
The Celtic name is racist! It represents white supremacy and must be changed!
Probably worshipers of Jobu are up in arms.
Cleveland Commodores (Commodore Perry inspired)
Cleveland Captains (the name currently being used by their Class A minor league team)
those are my two guesses
these are to be silly;
Cleveland Krakens
Cleveland Wildthings
Cleveland Burning Rivers
Cleveland Mud Hens
Cleveland Crowns (because it rhymes with Browns. No royal reason. Cincinnati is actually the queen city)
Cleveland Rocks
Cleveland Comets
Cleveland Komisars (well, ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ , republicans don’t win here. LOL)
Cleveland Circumlocutions (was trying to think of something long and obscure)
Cleveland Counterterrorists
Cleveland Cyborgs
Cleveland Cardiacs
I know the Indians don’t care. I attached a ~sarc. Geez.
I am a Celtic mongrel.
Fight me.
;D
Cleveland Dominions!
- In honor of this game changing election.
Walk away ! Walk away!! Walk away!!!
The end result will be teams following the practice of European soccer leagues and dropping almost all names entirely: Cleveland Baseball Club, Washington United Football Team, Football Kansas City, etc.
Thank you, it just dawned on me why I keep saying it incorrectly, good grief.
Ritz fell on the gay sword last week.
The team will be changing its name.
The Ohion’s ?.
Well, that could happen. There are other “offensive” team names out there, such as Chicago Black Hawks, Kansas City Chiefs. And there are those which, based on the criteria that an ethnic reference is offensive, also are questionable. Among that group would be Boston Celtics, Fighting Irish of Notre Dame, and Minnesota Vikings.
And if you want to get into other “offensive” names, how about the Las Vegas Raiders, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. All of those names glorify criminal activity.
The San Diego Padres, Los Angeles Angels, and New Orleans Saints are offensive to the Catholic church.
All of the animal nicknames must be offensive to our PETA friends.
Etc. etc.
Even the Dallas Cowboys would be offensive to real cowboys, if we want to go to extremes.
Wow, sounds like somebody is on the warpath. After all, most “Indians” may have mutilated the bodies of their victims but they did spare General Custer from mutilation as they respected him. How about the Cleveland major league baseball team being re-named the “Custers” or perhaps the “Yellow Hairs” as a sign of respect for one of the “Indians’” main opponents whom they defeated and out of respect did not mutilate his body.
My old high school in Texas mascot was the Ysleta Indians as the town of Ysleta was founded by the Ysleta Indians. Such a dumb idea to name the local high school mascot the same as who originally founded the town.
How about the Cleveland Snowflake Hand Wringing Gaybos? A little long but fitting.
I have *no* idea why they say “Seltics”.
The Celts had a perfectly functional “S” in their alphabet they would have used, had they wanted to.
I blame the Greeks.
/Keltoi forever
:D

No, because in 10 years or so the same exact people pushing this change will complain there are no non-whites on packaging or sports team names and reason is white supremacists took away them away.
(Probably sounds more like a football team, though.)
