If you live on the planet Earth, you have a dog in this fight.

Although I understand your sentiment Governor Dinwiddie, I agree with blueunicorn6: WE are the dogs in this fight.

I find this comparison to the Gestapo interesting.

One of the things that humanity found most compellingly repellent and horrible about the Nazis was their application of industrial age principles to genocide.

In the past, the number of people that could be murdered was limited in a way to things like starving large populations, and if not, dispatching individuals to carry out murders by either sharp implements like swords and spears, or with single shot guns. The bodies were left where they lay, and the murderers didn't give it a second thought.

The Nazis turned genocide in the 20th century into an industrial process. They tried to create workflows the same way you would if you were building an airplane or a car. They tried to make everything from creating the lists of people to round up to disposal of the remains as codified, organized, and efficient as could possibly be.

And the fact that the Nazis were Germans made it even more horrible in some way, simply because the Germans were thought to be incredibly efficient and accurate at bureaucracy and applying it to industrial processes.

It was nightmarish genocide in the Industrial Age.

Now, today, China is pioneering the concepts of "creating the lists" in the Computer Age using every kind of surveillance data input possible including license plate scans, facial recognition, online activities, purchasing records, jobs, bank accounts, hospital accounts, and nearly every other thing imaginable all rolled together using pattern recognition with AI (Artificial Intelligence) into personalized dossiers with "Social Scores" (Think of them as "Party Desirability Scores")

In case anyone thinks I am being paranoid, it is well known that Google works with and has associations with a tyrannical Communist Chinese regime and is partnering with them. Check out this excerpt from a purloined presentation meant only for the eyes of top Google executives:

Entire Unedited Video for Google Management Only: "The Selfish Ledger"

The Stolen Election Part II: Stoners and Reptiles; Bill Whittle talks about Dorsey, Zuckerberg, and the Google "Selfish Ledger"

I should say, watching the second version gives context-STRONG CONTEXT to the first, and I would suggest watching the entire second video, but if you want to go right to the part where Bill Whittle describes "The Social Ledger", skip forward to the 13:27 point in the video. I would put the link to the YouTube video there that would take you to that exact point, but...since Google owns YouTube, I am trying to use alternatives like Rumble.

And this is what Communist China (as our own Left with their Media and Big Tech allies are also onboard with) has in mind: They wish to not only control the dissemination of knowledge, but to use that dissemination of information in a very specific way using AI to produce an end result they wish, which as Bill Whittle highlights in his analysis, which in ("The Selfish Ledger" video, in their words) is: "To reflect Google's values as an organization."

Or, more accurately, the Chinese Communist Party's values as an organization."

As Winston Churchill so presciently said in his most inspirational "Finest Hour" speech in 1940 when he talked about the need to stand up to the Nazis. I will paraphrase it slightly with my apologies to Winston Churchill):

Upon this battle depends the survival of Christian civilization. Upon it depends our own Western life, and the long continuity of our institutions and our Constitution

The whole fury and might of the enemy must very soon be turned on us.

China knows that they will have to break us in this fight for freedom of speech, or lose the war. If we can stand up to them, all all the West may be free and the life of the world may move forward into broad, sunlit uplands.

But if we fail, then the whole world, including the United States, including all that we have known and cared for, will sink into the abyss of a new Dark Age made more sinister, and perhaps more protracted, by the lights of perverted science.

Let us therefore brace ourselves to our duties, and so bear ourselves that, if the United States and its Allies last for a thousand years, men will still say, “This was their finest hour.”
