The FDA is delaying the COVID vaccines to spite Trump

Sounds awful, doesn’t it?

It is awful.

At least 3 companies have filed for emergency authorizations for the use of their vaccines: Pfizer, Astra Zeneca and Moderna. Pfizer is prepared to ship millions of doses immediately upon FDA approval. Stephen McIntyre of Climate Audit asks why the UK has approved the Pfizer vaccine for use in the UK but not here in the US where it was created:

The answer?

Trump Derangement Syndrome

We already know that left wing “scientists” already held up new of the success of the vaccines until after the election to deny the Trump campaign the good news and positive reaction it would have enjoyed- let alone the lives that could have been saved:

astounding article by excellent @antonioregalado which narrates how (Democrat) scientists delayed COVID vaccine approval in order to deny Trump election victory. They had no regard for how many lives were lost, people hospitalized or businesses ruined. But "follow the science". https://t.co/vcwkz65DdN

Now the FDA is dragging its feet. There is little doubt that this is now about politics and not safety.

Dr. Anthony Fauci has stated clearly that the vaccines are “safe” and “not rushed.” Pay close attention:

WASHINGTON — Dr. Anthony Fauci assured the public on Thursday that a coronavirus vaccine would be safe and effective and called for an end to suggestions that the development was rushed for political purposes.

“The process of the speed did not compromise at all safety, nor did it compromise scientific integrity,” Fauci said Thursday at the first White House coronavirus task force briefing in months.

“It was a reflection of the extraordinary scientific advances in these types of vaccines, which allowed us to do it in months that actually took years before,” the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases said.

“So I really want to settle that concern that people have about that,” he said, calling the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines “really solid.”

“We really need to put to rest any concept that this was rushed in an inappropriate way,” Fauci said.

Yet as soon as the UK approved the Pfizer vaccine, Fauci got weird:

The vaccine is a mere device that allows them to turn off the politically induced panic. There will be no vaccine until they have succeeded in driving a stake the heart of the Trump presidency.

Wait and watch as these vaccines transition from forbidden to mandatory if Biden manages to get into power.

I believe both the Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna vaccines will get EUA’s from the FDA on December 10, 2020. But distribution—yikes! Large-scale distribution won’t happen until the Johnson & Johnson and AstraZeneca vaccines get their approval in early 2021.

None of the vaccines can do anything to anyone’s DNA. Saying that the mRNA vaccines can alter your DNA is like saying I can alter a nuclear power station because I have AA batteries at home.

The Moderna vaccine can be shipped/stored the same way you ship/store frozen foods.

The fact that the UK managed to approve the Pfizer vaccine while our FDA holds things up is a national embarrassment. We’ve now become more bureaucrat-ridden and ineffective than the UK - the birthplace of Fabian socialism.

While true, the advantage of the AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson vaccines is that they can be stored at standard freezer temperatures (-17.8° Celsius).

They’re not even meeting for the EUA discussion for Moderna until December 17th. Hopefully they won’t drag their feet. It’s the Federal government, so I’m surprised they’re even bothering to meet in December.

There are articles saying that Pfizer has 50 million doses ready and that the US expects to have distributed 100 million doses between the available vaccines by the end of February (https://thehill.com/policy/healthcare/528485-us-aims-to-distribute-100-million-covid-vaccines-by-end-of-february). That’s nearly 1/3 of the country.

It’s Fauci’s shop that has to give the final approval. Moderna was ready to go for approval on October 25th before Fauci’s office said “no, for ‘safety’ you have to wait an additional month (til after November 25th). Now that Moderna has submitted their approval request with supporting data Fauci’s staff will TAKE THEIR SWEET TIME giving their approval.

The Pfizer vaccine can be stored at freezer temperatures for a few days (I think 3 days?). The Moderna vaccine can be stored right at freezing (30 degrees) for around 30 days and long term at just a bit under freezing.

None of this is an issue in the US. We have plenty of available cold storage options for transport and distribution and our logistics enable us to move large amounts of vaccine long distances in a short amount of time. FedEx could get 100,000 doses from DC to LA in a day easily. This is a major problem for third-world countries. They’ll have to wait for the Oxford vaccine or one of the over 200 others still at various stages of development. Frankly, I’m not worried about them; I’m worried about us. America first!

That is your choice to make and I support your right to make your own decisions about what’s best for your health and the health of others. My aim is to correct and misinformation so that others are able to make informed decisions - based on facts - about their own health.

They are doing this because they do not want Trump to take the credit for this. They want this to go out on Sleepy Creepy Joe’s watch so that they can say Sleepy Creepy Joe is the savior and stopped the pandemic. It’s all in the perception not the deed.

What levels of population monitoring, health passes and tracking already exist in the UK?

Versus the USA?

There is much more marking to be done to us here, and the vaccine is the carrot.

Who cares.

We don’t need a vaccination for a flu so mild that you need a test to tell if you even have it.

President Trump deserves credit for getting the vaccination this fast - but it is completely unnecessary - as are the masks, distancing bullshit and shutdowns.

Are there still FReepers who don’t understand that this whole “pandemic” was election year fear mongering?

The Democrats have completely destroyed President Trump’s record low unemployment rates and record job creation. They have blamed 250,000 deaths on the President. They have justified the huge and unprecedented expansion of unsecured mail-in voting to enable massive fake ballot harvesting. They have stolen an election!

All “justified” by covid19.

When will we stop pretending this was a true medical emergency? Trump supporters have been had - and yet half of them still listen to Fauci’s BS.

Actually, I have a different take on the situation, just slightly different.

“.....Now the FDA is dragging its feet. There is little doubt that this is now about politics and not safety. .......”

I have been closely following my state's vaccine distribution plan. They have submitted it to the CDC for review and comment just this week. However, my state is clueless as to how it will actually be implemented.

I contacted two of my doctors to see as an elderly person, with comorbidity, and who is an essential non-medical service provider how to get on the list since the injections should be just a matter of starting in a couple weeks.

Well, surprise, surprise, neither knows how they can get on the list and they are front line medical providers who are at the top of the list. Then I dug into some of the plan details. The number of doses that will be allocated to this state is somewhere in the low 20,000 range. At the top of the list if health care/facility workers about half a million. Then there are Emergency first responders about 7,000. Then there are nursing home and assisted living residents about 33,000 people. So before elderly and people with underlying conditions or before people who are essential service providers, the wait to get vaccinated will be months unless the production levels are going to expand dramatically.

As a result of this there are no real plans now for figuring out elderly or essential service priorities. In fact they haven's started to figure out how to collect the data on determining the order of people to get vaccinated beyond the initial classes of people.

The delay is to provide states with cover so they could finalized their plans to submit to the CDC and the delay is to provide states with additional time to avoid looking to incompetent in rolling out the vaccination program.

This is not a jab at Trump, it is a sad statement about the lack of preparation at the State level.

Become? The FDA has been notoriously slow on approvals for ages. Ask any cancer patient that’s looked into treatments available in Europe. Stuff Germany has been doing for 15 years isn’t approved hear yet.
