The novel coronavirus was circulating undetected in the United States for weeks in December—about a full month before the first confirmed case in the country, according to a new study that has been published in the journal Clinical Infectious Diseases.
The eye-opening research arrived at its conclusion after the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found evidence of coronavirus antibodies in blood collected in December 2019. The samples had been gathered originally to test for exposure to mosquito-borne illnesses like the West Nile virus.
After analyzing blood donations collected by the American Red Cross from individuals in nine states between December 13 and January 17, the researchers were eventually able to see that antibodies were present in 106 out of 7,389 samples.
The first coronavirus-positive patient was diagnosed on January 20 in Washington state, according to the CDC.
“These findings suggest that SARS-CoV-2 may have been introduced into the United States prior to January 19, 2020,” the researchers wrote.

Figured. I had several students out sick with a “really bad flu” back in late October, early November in Los Angeles.
Is it real science or is it setting the stage for a new narrative that is about to be rolled out. Who knows.
I stopped wearing a mask. I now wear a sock on my head. I figure it gives the same protection.
Most likely this virus was spreading since September 2019. The Wuhan lab went into lockdown early October when they noticed there was a problem.
I remember reading articles from at least one LA newspaper that the flu season "arrived early" there and was particularly nasty. Then I read in January/February that there was speculation it was the China Virus, which was then mysteriously quickly quashed in the news.
Now it turns out -- it was the China Virus. Well, it had to be. There's something along the lines of 10,000-20,000 Chinese that arrive in California between LAX and SF daily. It would make sense they brought the damn' virus with them early on.
New narrative. Probably sars-1 antibodies.
Just in time to spread widely before the election. What a coinkydink.
Imagine the 24/7 spew coming from the MSM if it were a dem president...
Both my wife and I had a severe cough, brief fevers, and lingering lung and breathing issues for over a month starting in November and lasting to Christmas last year. It felt like it would never go away. My gut says I have had it already, but I don’t have any proof.
I have insomnia, listen to Coast to Coast, it’s very good radio. I remember hearing in, maybe, April a show where they talked about doctors all over the country talking about a thing they were calling ‘NTF’ or not the flu. I think my husband had NTF in late December. Boy, have we been played.
I would challenge them to test blood samples from previous years, going 20 years back. I’m not convinced this is “ novel.”
A west coast friend of mine was on a cruise to Mexico in December. He said there were many Chinese on the ship, with many who were sick with Covid symptoms. This was long before tests were available.
Sex and parties won’t stop vaccine only cure.
Yep. They quashed it because if it was here that early, no way could Trump have known about it and no way could he be blamed for it. It’s vital to their interest that he be blamed for it.
