You might not have watched that hearing, but there was ample popular support for this, and plenty of legal support as well. And there have been other meetings and discussions. Don’t count this move out.

I agree with you 100%! It will be a much better case to win (instead of the cases pending now which most of the lower courts have shown not to want to pursue for political reasons instead of constitutional reasons) in the US Supreme Court if the issue comes down to: “Who has the ultimate legal right to select electors in each state?” If ONLY the weak Republicans would follow the PA Reps Legislators then the Left and their media allies could cry, riot, etc all they want but a 2nd Trump term could be spent uncovering ALL of these shenanigans and illegal activities and ACTUAL people but in prison! This should have been the END GAME from our side!

Furthmore, any GOP legislator who doesn't vote for this will be suspected of taking a payoff like certain Republicans in AZ and GA. They have large enough margins in PA that they could lose a few votes, and this will still pass. The courts have said ordinary voters lack standing to challenge the election, so now the legislature can do it.

The SC will rule certain aspects of the election unconstitutional and then point out that the state legislators have the constitutional power to remedy the situation, by appointing electors.

The state legislators will then act, hopefully in an appropriate manner.

You don't know that.

The legislature just heard from the Trump team on Wednesday. And they will probably wait for the SC. Then hopefully they will react in an appropriate manner.

There is no taking back anything the Governor & SOS a power they 'never' had. They were acting as legislative proxies in the appointment of electors.

All the legislature needs to do is declare/invoke their Constitution authority to appoint electors.

It's just simply saying to the Governor and SOS... "Playtime's over. You abused your trust. Now the adults will take it from here."

It also saves taxpayer money used in recounts, and paying the legal expenses of corrupt officials. PA can set the precedent and get the ball rolling. GA has the problem that the governor needs the governor to call the state legislature into a special session before it can assemble. He is refusing causing additional state expense in useless recounts without auditing the signatures.

On that note I have a question.......Since Wolf was sucssesful in extending a “State of Emergency” in Pa. after it went to the Supremes. Would those Governing Emergency powers allow him or the State to extend the vote count beyond the cut off date of voting the 3rd for the election because of covid..

There is no taking back anything the Governor & SOS a power they 'never' had.

The power was delegated to the Commonwealth's voters through an election. The SoS was empowered by statute to administer that election and the governor empowered by statute to certify the results of the election. Should the legislature now appoint the electors themselves, there could be a problem if the governor certifies a different slate of electors and forwards it to Congress. The U.S. Constitution states that the state legislatures determine how state's electors are choosen, but federal statutory law states that if two slates of electors are submitted, the slate certified by the governor is preferred by Congress.
