2009: Hu Minghua and Su Binde, child abductors

China on this date in 2009 executed two men for trafficking kidnapped children.

“The crimes of children trafficking are on the rise,” said a spokesman for the Supreme People’s Court. “Children trafficking gangs now have clearer division of work and more children of migrant workers have been abducted.”

Kidnapping has been a major problem in China for many years, one which authorities have fought in vain with ever-strengthened legal sanctions. Needless to say the executions marked this date hardly abated the trend.

Up to 70,000 children are thought to disappear by abduction in China every year — particularly boys, for whom there is a lucrative market.

The one good thing at least is that it appears a lot of these kids become adoptive sons to childless couples rather than worse fates that can befall them.

I am going to address your flawed premise.

The boys would need to be young enough to not know how to get home or whose family they abducted.

Your almost equating robbing, raping and murdering to being robbed and raped and allowed to live as a good thing.

Folks who pay for boys or girls to raise are every bit as evil as the abductors. They paid families to be destroyed.

That makes them evil.

And they will, in turn, teach that child that it’s okay to abduct.

Simply do not agree with your slanted slope of criminality.

Get a grip.

I don’t think child abduction and trafficking is right under any circumstance and think people who engage in it should die

I am merely stating that fortunately for many of the kids who are abducted in China they are not raped and killed and their brains hacked into for adrenochrome. They are alive somewhere and living with people who ostensibly want children and can’t have them. Thus, these kids can be reunited with their biological parents.

If you read The Guardian piece the author links to, you will see that many of these kids are sold to childless couples, so fortunately they are alive somewhere and can be found if someone looks for them.

“Kidnapping children — especially boys — is big business. Society traditionally values male heirs, especially in rural regions where a healthy son might represent a poor family’s sole pension plan. Three decades of one-child policy has served to exacerbate this demand for boys.”

Not for sex slaves? That’s disgusting!/s

If you read The Guardian piece the author links to

So even the material itself is stolen?

Your depravity knows no bounds.

Get a job.

Lucrative market? Sex slaves? Child laborer? Table Tennis players? Sex traffickers should be executed...

I'd say hair sniffers should be to, but Joe Biden would be upset... 😀

I guess its better to be kidnapped and adopted then to be killed in the womb or at birth, or left in the gutter, which happens to little girl children.

“They are alive somewhere and living with people who ostensibly want children and can’t have them. “

You have a flawed premise. Again.

Parents who pay for children to be stolen from other parents are vile, evil, and extremely willing to destroy lives.

You’re a prime example of how a presumed Conservative can be manipulated into allow and even making excuses for kidnapping.

Nothing, and nothing, and nothing is worth abduction of a child.

On the other hand, I am glad to know the slippery slope you are willing to plant your flag.

Open dialogue is great. It’s why I enjoy this particular site!

How I am making an excuse for kidnapping?

I posted about how kidnappers are executed for it and did not state that I have a problem with that, because I don’t.

I have no idea if the parents who paid for and got the kid knew the kid was kidnapped from some other parents. For all we know, they were told by the child brokers that the kid’s mother died in a factory explosion or something.

If they knew, they should be punished. If they didn’t know and found out along the line, they should want for the kid to be reunited.

Forgive me for thinking it is a good thing that the kids are alive and possibly with decent people instead of dead or enslaved.

Your premise that you think it’s a good thing is not relevant.

A crime was committed.

What you postulate is the same as saying to a rape victim or robbery victim whose complete life savings was stolen is, “Hey! Be glad! They let you live!”

Again, your premise is flawed.

On this issue, there is no compromise.

“Hey, like the 2020 election? Joe Biden won, but hey, we did let you in the building, so shut up.”

That’s the 2020 Election equivalent of what you’re saying.

Or, “hey, I don’t want my kid because I’m poor. I’m going to kill it before it’s first breath so it doesn’t experience lacking for what I value as important.”

It’s such a slippery slope and so many refuse to see it.

Until, maybe it’s *your* child that was stolen.

Then again, you sound like you’d be fine with your child being abducted and moved across the country...... as long as he/she lives, you ‘just fine.’

If that’s his blog it’s a really good one.

Too bad he only posts excerpts then.

I guess the message is less important than beer money.

When he posts an excerpt clicking on the link just goes to the rest of the story. No ads, no pleas for money. If he gets paid for me to read a story then good for him.

Even if he stole it.

Cool. You not only condone theft, you support it.

You want to buy a stolen bike?

If he gets paid for you to ride a bike then good for him.

He probably needs money for hookers and crack.

So good for him. Yep.

I guess argumentative jerks who don’t get invited anywhere for Thanksgiving hang out on FR to just be a$$holes and take their anger at their miserable lives out on people.

Thank you for sticking up for me and for Headsman, who is just some history buff who wants to share things with other history buffs.

I hope you are having a happy Thanksgiving. I am alone - by choice - I was invited places but don’t want to hang out with argumentative lib jerk family and their friends. My S.O. is at work enforcing law and justice.

There are copyright laws out there. It’s not your job to enforce them. It might be your hobby but if the owner of the material has a problem then he or she can do something about it. If they don’t have a problem then neither do I.
