Today marks 8 years since Jordan Davis, a 17-year-old high school student was murdered by Michael David Dunn, a 45-year-old software developer, following an argument over loud music played by Davis and his three friends. Dunn shot and killed Jordan on November 23, 2012, at a Gate Petroleum gas station in Jacksonville, Florida.
Jordan’s mother, Lucy McBath, 60, who is currently serving as the U.S. Representative for Georgia’s 6th congressional district, has taken to twitter on Monday to write a heartbreaking note in remembrance of her son and to other mothers who lost their children in the cause of gun violence .
And here we go...
I’d got for Trump issuing an XO that says all people in the US are entitled to one AR-15 for their safety paid for by the government
We stopped committing people to mental institutions.
Your thoughts?
Incomprehensibly stupid to blame the tool for the actions of the operator.
what is done can’t be undone. Dunn regretted his action
“...who lost their children in the cause of gun violence .”
I can’t fault the mother for missing her son. The man who killed him has been sentenced to life without parole. He apparently didn’t like the volume of ‘music’ coming from a car in a public parking lot and decided he was going to do something about it. Stupid choice that cost a life—two if you count his.
Lucy McBath suffered a horrible tragedy that no mother should have to suffer.....
8 years is a short time when you lose a child.....
Yes, she is misguided in her vitriol against guns but I give her deference as a Mom.....
I do not give her deference as a Congresswoman..... So in a few weeks, after she has time to mourn again, for whats its worth, I WILL reach out to her to state my case...
And the horse you rode in on, MacDouche (French pronunciation)...
It isn’t the gun-—It is the CRAZY who has the gun.
Stores all over the USA have guns there....And NONE of them get into any trouble on their own. Day after day...year after year....no trouble.
Sad how many people with an ‘education’ cannot grasp this fact.
