Sometimes one naturally judges the thought of others by what one perceives as the very unwise decisions that those others have made in their lives.

I don’t trust the thought and conclusions of anyone who has bought-into ‘Scientology’.

That’s my right, as a free-thinker.

If you see it as an ‘ad hominem’ attack, that’s your right, too.

Ad hominem means “attack the person, not the information they provide”.

That is what it _is_.

The problem with ad hominem attacks is that a lot of good information comes from people with sketchy backgrounds.

All information should be evaluated based on its own merits.

I am not defending _her_ at all.

I am stating that _you_ used a logical fallacy.
