it’s a great time for small sites to grab many more viewers with sensationalist stories....We are seeing that with all the bombshells left and right. That would be the ‘best case scenario’ though would it not? Considering the information war that’s taking place, a lot of this blatant misinformation may actually have a more nefarious purpose.

That’s definitely possible.
Unless it’s news from an outlet I know well and has been trustworthy, I don’t pay much heed.
And even the known and trusted ones..these days you have to double check.
