Good news!!!
Will the media be doing profiles on her for breaking this barrier?
Of course not...member of the wrong party.
Beat me by 9 seconds.
WaPo also is carrying this.
Good job!
The other major red Congressional seat win in CA is also a Korean woman (married to American) Michelle Steel.
For your intrest!
I notice now the article excerpt above mentions her. But not that she is also Korean.
LoL I saw...I am muted in my celebration until Trump takes oath in January.
Excellent! I sent her a little dough.
Good to hear! If you remove the old commie hippies & illegals from the vote, OC is still pretty conservative.
Dems learned that republicans can ballot harvest too.
Just looked her up - Park was her maiden name - very common Korean surname like Kim.
Many smaller asian countries, they dont have a large number of surnames
The hmongs for example have mainly about 13 major surnames
sed to live there when Nixon had the Western White House at Cottons Point. What a great area and time that was* sighs*
Would have been better to have done it in 2018. Better late than never.
I think so too. It could also be a lack of enthusiastic or effective vote harvesters for the Dems. The recent hispanic immigrants there may have aligned with the Dems when they came, but I don't think they stay that way as time goes by.
Great news indeed! Especially after what happened to her in 2018.
That jungle primary system also doesn’t help - it demotivates Republican voters when there can be zero Republicans at the top of the ticket to vote for like US Senate.
Very little media is reporting on the House flips to GOP that were made in this election. That’s one reason (among many others) that I know the Presidential election reporting is false. I’m sure more people voted for Trump than for Biden. They simply did not report the accurate numbers of the votes. I’m not even sure districts totaled votes that showed Biden winning. I think the media election officials just gave the media the numbers they were instructed to give.
