Sorry, the name is Brighton-Eggert Pharmacy.
Interesting thread. Self bump for later . . .
Unfortunately, you can’t avoid the donut hole regardless of the Part D plan (the hole is set by Congress and all the plans have them). But there could be a Part D plan that’s a better fit even if it might be a higher monthly premium.
I would recommend contacting your state SHIP agency and have them help you shop around for the best plan. This is New Hampshire’s, but each state has a SHIP. https://www.servicelink.nh.gov/medicare/index.htm Even if you’re satisfied that you’ve got the best plan for you, there may be additional assistance available to you that you may not be aware of.
Hi.
There are a few in the Tampa Bay area. One on West shore blvd near el Prado. Don’t know about mail order.

I have checked Canadian pharmacies and have been using them for very inexpensive Synthroid.
However, they don’t have the GastroCrom (cromolyn sodium) that you take. It’s just the eye drop variety.
I didn’t know that.
I’ll definitely look into it.
Thanks.
I spent the first part of my in Tonawanda not far from Brighton Rd.!
I know teh corner of Brighton and Eggert. Been past there countless times when I lived out there.
Still have family very close to that area.
Thanks.
We’ve tried comparing plans but it’s just a mess out there and so confusing.
I realize the prices are set by the government.
I will definitely look into that.
Thanks for asking this. I forwarded the thread to my mother for her use also.
I figured I was not the only one to need this information.
I have been using Canadian Pharmacies for two of my other meds and they are available or cheaper than here.
If you want, I’ll send you the links to the two we have used.
You have to be careful as there are scams out there, but these two are certified and we have found them to be trustworthy.
That’s exactly what SHIP is for; and they’re a state agency. You’ll be talking to people the state has trained, NOT salespeople.
I work for the state insurance in my state, with the retirees. I’m a certified SHIP counselor here, but I don’t deal with the general public. Otherwise I wouldn’t steer you that way. LOL
Yup, the problem is you’re always dealing with someone who is trying to sell you something. I want someone who can just present the facts and and let me make the decision as to what is best for me.
Im surprised there arent local compounding pharmacies in your area. Most are pretty much all mail order by now.
I can private mail you mine but its in SoCal.
NH
But if they do mail order stuff, that would help.
That’s exactly what SHIP does. They don’t get any kind of commission, so their only interest is in helping you. They present the information and educate; you get to decide.
Had a member once who wanted the top of the line Part D plan that cost $100 a month, even though she she didn’t take ANY prescriptions. We explained she didn’t have to do that, there’s an annual enrollment where you can change plans as your needs change, but that’s what she wanted so that’s what she got!
I did find a couple that I am checking out in the next couple days.
I want to price compare.
