Is the Republic in sufficient danger yet to justify flying the flag upside down? If not yet, when?
Remembrance Day up here. The 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. The crucible of WWI formed Canada into a country, rather than an off shoot of the UK. Unfortunately, we have fallen so far from the heights we reached in so many ways in WWI and WWII.
In honour of those who gave up their lives for freedom:

In Flanders fields the poppies blow

The larks, still bravely singing, fly

We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
