...One could argue that this years election was unique. Turnout was unprecedented (at least in raw numbers), perhaps in part because of the coronavirus pandemic and the record number of mail-in ballots.
Perhaps thats true. But the fact remains: how hard is it to collect and count ballots? I dont wish to disparage the people working these elections. The process is probably far more complicated than many Americans realize. But this is true of most systems, which brings me to a key point.
Is collecting and counting ballots more difficult than running a vast health care system that involves pricing, insurance, medication, billing, and the very lives of individuals? The answer is no.
Is collecting and counting ballots more difficult than attempting to manage the spread of an invisible virus without ruining the livelihoods, spirits, educations, and very lives of hundreds of millions of people? Again, the answer is no.
In some ways, we should not be surprised to see governing bodies fail to manage something as elementary as an election. For decades weve watched the United States Post Office bungle something as simple as collecting and delivering mail. The USPS bleeds billions of dollars every year doing something a private company would make a profit doing, while delivering substandard service. (This is why libertarians have been arguing for more than a century that the Post Office should be subjected to competition.)...

The point of government controlled healthcare has nothing to do with making it better or more available or cheaper. All of those will be worse, less, more respectively. The only objective to to control the serfs. That is the point.
This election serves as absolute proof that the government isn’t capable of doing anything important. I’ll leave the military out of this discussion (for now) but what a mess.
We have to remember that everything the gov’t does is designed by academics who never accomplished anything except getting funding for research.
“Politician” should be the new insult to describe someone who is incompetent but believes they know everything.
Its not about difficulty in counting ballots.....it’s about FRAUD.
It is fraud pure and simple. The 2020 election should be nullified!
and no one has put that together ?
“Government Can’t Count Ballots. How Can It Possibly Manage a Pandemic or Our Health Care?”
What a stupid headline!
Makes it sound like what’s going on is due to incompetence rather than purposeful, highly competent fraudsters!
The fraudsters are not all that competent.
Competent fraudsters would have faked all the ballots well in advance, spread them out over thousands of precincts and counted them all on election night.
These fraudsters are rubbing our noses in it. It is not clear who is dumber—them for doing it so blatantly and sloppily, or us for putting up with it.
government CAN and does count votes. They just do it to achieve the results they want, is all.
government CAN and will manage your health care. They will just do it to achieve the results they want, is all (such as eliminating “useless eaters”....etc.)’
“The fraudsters are not all that competent.”
They’re competent enough. They’re going to get away with it.
I am not optimistic at this point, but removing the President from our house may be a non-trivial enterprise. :-)
If we can’t trust the US election system (Democrats) How can we trust anything government backed, retirement pension systems, the fed, the entire banking system, internet security, medical records safety, medical providers, or anything else.
Slow and Feeble didn’t win the race, fraud and vote manipulation did.
