I think California may turn red in a revenge election. Given what Californians have had to put up with; insane taxes, riots, rising crime, prison planet lock downs, apocalyptic forest fires, and rolling blackouts. The average Californian is ready to snap and take it out on the Democrats who have been giving them the shaft good and hard. When they get in that ballot box all alone they are going to be thinking, “Who pays for this sh!t sandwich that I have been forced to eat?” and there are really no Republican office holders to blame, just Democrats.

The ONLY “Republicans carry California in modern day presidential election” scenario I can imagine would be an “era of good feelings” type election where a sitting GOP president is defaced UNOPPOSED in his re-election bid. And even if that happened, a bunch of disgruntled RATS in CA would cast token protest votes for unpledged RAT electors and invalid write-in votes for RATS not on the ballot.
