yes. A few things:

allergies are a gut issue with YOU. drink ACV morning and night and get on a good mineral regimen, especially magnesium
feed the cat very good cat food (ie no grain) and your cat will barely shed and won’t have the dander problem that undernourished cats get
there are allergy docs out there that can treat your allergies and cure them.

All in, I’d focus on the top point

The allergy is a psychosomatic thing. See a shrink.

Good advice, but not entirely. My vet, who only treats cats, says it’s very important that cats have food with grain. Cats in the wild don’t eat grain, but they eat mice and rats that do. My darling kitty girl has been raised on Royal Canin cat food. First kitten food, then when she grew up, cat food. It’s pricey but really worth it. She also gets 1/3 can Friskies Turkey in Gravy every day. She just laps up the gravy, which is fine because most cats don’t drink enough water.

Vet says never NEVER feed her Blue Buffalo or Rachel Ray’s “Nutrish.”

Another good dry food is Purina One. Not as high quality as Royal Canin, but my son raised two very healthy cats on it. And another good one is Origen, which I fed two kitties with all their lives. Healthy til the end, though both had been hit by cars before I got them.

You can save a lot of money by buying online at Chewy.com

Good luck with your precious new girl. Love is the top ingredient.
