Since we screen all our phone calls (mainly against telemarketers, not pollsters), we are “hidden” by default!!!!

I use Robokiller to screen my calls and SMS traffic. Highly effective.

That’s been my strong feeling as well this election cycle. I moved a while back from one state to another. Due to this I have an area code that is across the country from where I actually live.

During the runup to this election year I’ve noticed the spam calls from the old area code have gone up 500%. I guess I don’t have proof since I don’t answer the calls but I just suspect that some large number of these calls are pollsters that are calling based on my old area code.

I do think that polls could be missing huge swaths of the voting public due to people not answering these calls.

Every election cycle there is some trend that comes out after the fact that sort of upends conventional thinking. Maybe this is the story of this cycle - people screening their calls.
