RE: If it is even half that Biden is toast.

My personal estimate is 1/3 of that. Trump won 8% of the black vote in 2016. The most conservative estimate will be for him to win over 12% of the black vote this year. 15% is DOABLE. With this, he WINS the election.

Also, do not forget the Latino vote. He got 29% in 2016. Conservative estimates tell us that he will win at least 35% of the Hispanic votes this year. 37% is DOABLE.

Pretty much what that guy I mentioned from the Trump Card documentary (Rick Figueroa) said.

Like Trump told them last election what do you have to lose. He delivered to blacks. Jobs economy, prison reform.

The GOP should be orchestrating a massive marketing campaign...something like “Come back home” show a major thing Repiblicans did for blacks on each sign. Show famous black republicans on others. We beed to educate the masses on how much republicans have done. Take our brand back.

“For better or worse apparently black rappers carry weight within the black community.

***********

Other blacks who are admired are also weighing in on the failures of the Democrat Party (e.g., Herschel Walker). Their views are getting some traction.”

I have never understood the need for a very large percentage of the black community to look to (usually self-appointed) so-called “leaders” in order to decide how to think or how to vote. I do understand that most people (of any racial or ethnic group) are not deep thinkers, mainly because they are just too busy trying to live life - either that or because they just don’t care), but this seems to be much more prevalent in the black community. Perhaps this is a function of how effective the Democrats have been in building a virtual plantation for blacks to replace the actual plantations of the slavery era, because providing a crappy education for blacks for decades on end (i.e. permanently) is part and parcel of being able to build that plantation and keep people on it willingly.

Whatever the reason for the black community having this tendency to need or listen to “leaders,” I understand (as a Jew) that the road from slavery is about more than simply physically leaving some place or literally cutting off your chains - it is AT LEAST as much of a mental and emotional change as it is a physical one. The Jews had leaders (Moses and Aaron), and it still took 40 years and the passing of every adult who had been a slave, for the slave mentality to disappear. But for ALL of that 40 years, the Egyptians had no influence over what the Jews did. For the black community, that has not been the case - they’ve lived for they last 155 years in the same society as the Collectivist Democrats, and often those former slaveowners (sometimes literally, most often just attitudinally) were in charge of large parts of our society...so I guess that it is a lot more understandable why it has taken so long. So if the rappers, Hershel Walker and other black leaders (or people of great influence) have to lead their people “out of Egypt,” I as a human being am glad that this process seems to be beginning. Perhaps, after the long and sordid last several hundred years of slavery, Jim Crow and the virtual plantation, the time has come that most of the black community will be fully cured of the slave mentality, and will think and act for themselves. I welcome this, and hope that I live long enough to see this process to its full fruition.

From the article:

“This is devastating news for Democrats who need at least 80% of the black vote to remain relevant.”

Mistake me if I’m wrong but I thought the Dem’s needed at least 90% to remain relevant??

“They are going to have to make up those votes somehow, and they won’t get them by appealing to the stupid “undecideds”.”

Unfortunately, the Dems/Collectivists aren’t stupid - and they have been actively planning and implementing their strategy to overcome any group from leaving their plantation of the mind: notice that large number of immigrants over the last 50 years, and the composition thereof (i.e. mostly from Turd World nations with no history of individual rights and liberty, vs. from European nations that were/are mostly not all that different from us)? The minute that they have the power to make all or most of the illegals into legals, and to speed along their citizenship (so that they can legally vote), our country is over.

That was actually working well for them until Trump came along and began building the wall...and it is going to get fully built, especially if he gets four more years.

I think he recognizes the need to overhaul immigration...and he is just the person to do it, IMO.

I don’t believe 46% or anything like that but.....let Trump get just 15% of the Black vote and he very likely wins. Make it 20% or 25% and he wins in an absolute landslide.

“The big need today is to lower crime rates - especially murders in our cities.”

You lower crime rates most effectively by doing 2 things:

1) Making sure that communities (ethnic or otherwise) have a serious and realistic opportunity for upward social/economic mobility - and this requires better education, less economically-restrictive laws and regulations, and an economy that doesn’t rush to close down factories and have replacement ones set up in foreign countries to save 10% of the cost of goods; and

2) Making sure that you enhance the strength of the nuclear family - and a lot of that is in withdrawing or cutting back on the legal and monetary means for people (almost always men) to simply walk away from their kids and the mothers of those kids; the moral component of being responsible and being faithful cannot be done at the government level...but it can be encouraged by political leaders.

As I look at things, Donald Trump has done an awful lot on the opportunity front, and at least (with some fits and starts, and certainly less emphasis than on the economic end) begun to address the family end of things. For only having been around to affect things for 4 years, he’s done a fantastic job, better than literally anyone in modern political history (and, yes, I think that it is factually true that he’s done more for the black community than any President since Lincoln - though Lincoln clearly did more just by literally freeing them from slavery). I also am certain that a LOT of people in the black community have noticed...and compared his actions with the decades-long empty rhetoric of the Democrats. That is why, for the first time in anyone’s lifetime, we are seeing a solid and sizeable movement of black support away from the Dems and to the Republicans (or at least to Trump because of his actions and their effects - what happens after 1/20/2025 is anyone’s guess, but at least the seeds of a permanent realignment have been planted and appear to be sprouting).

Personally, I like long tailed t-shirts untucked. When I am working in the yard, I don’t want to be showing off a plumber’s crack. But I feel like getting out one of those staple guns on the saggy pants crowd.

...to answer my own question—after assessing all opinions here on this thread—it seems the only noteworthy event this week was rapper 50 cent’s endorsement.

DjT’s been saying all year everything he said last night re: blacks. Plus, he forgot to mention historic black employment. Even if the 46% is an outlier, something hit home yesterday.

Could a pop culture figure create such a swing ? I find it hard to believe.

If all this is true, then a majority of black men like POTUS. I can’t see the majority of black women liking him.

Wouldn't it be great if a greater acceptance from the non-white communities resulted from a big Trump win --in fact--was caused by that acceptance.

If we consider blacks, hispanics, whomever, to be just a matter of skin pigment--which I do--there's a lot to like about all these cultures. There's a strain of conservatism that runs through the black community, and hispanics, too.

There will certainly be segments of both populations raised on socialism, or racial victimism, but I hope to see an emboldened Trump round up and jail the BLM & Antifa miscreants damn soon after the election, with his new lame duck status.

“When Trump brags about doing that, he is taking a page from the liberal narrative, not from Thomas Sowell”

One thing that I have noticed, and much more so since I have had kids and observed them going from pre-school through high school, is that there is not - CAN NOT - be only one way in which to teach people. In this context, perhaps Trump has done these things for 2 reasons: first, because many of these cases reflect some fundamental injustice, and the best that can be done is to release the particular individuals involved; and second, because perhaps this is looked upon (politically speaking) as the best way to reach a large portion of the black community. Not every black person is a Thomas Sowell or a Herman Cain - not intellectually, not morally, not by their experiences, just as in any ethnic group that you can name, not all people are the equals of those intellectual and moral leaders among them.

To put this is a different way, this is Trump the businessman deciding to do that which is most effective in achieving his goals, rather than following the (clearly) ineffective rules of the political world for the last several decades or longer.

I will also say this: as someone whose paternal grandfather ran from Russia at the end of the Communist Revolution, and who grew up listening to story after story about how evil the Communists were and are (among other things, they murdered my great grandfather, then in his 70s and suffering from cancer, for the “crime” of renting out part of his home in order to put on the table food that he couldn’t work for and which he couldn’t buy because all of the savings and investment of a lifetime of work were stolen from him by the Communists), I view ANYTHING that makes it less likely for the Dems (who are Collectivists little different from the Communists or, for that matter, the Nazis that murdered over 100 members of my mother’s extended family) to gain control over this nation as a good thing, even if it is imperfectly implemented. If mentioning what he did gains Trump and the Republican party even 0.5% of the black vote (or gets a similar number to stay home instead of voting Democrat), then I am for it, period. The entirety of our nation is literally on the line in this election; if Biden wins and they control Congress, then they will change things in such a way that there will literally never be another Republican President or Republican control of either House - we will become a one-party nation, California or New York (or Cuba or the USSR) on a national scale. It will literally be over, and I guarantee that we’ll be facing the likelihood of tens of millions of deaths among the liberty-minded (and, later, of random people for little or no reason at all), because that’s how Collectivists roll - and as far as I am concerned, even if Trump pardoned 10,000 murderers in order to prevent that (and he has, of course, done nothing of the sort), I would be for it if it worked. Bigger issues are at stake in this election than whether it is justified to release a few people from prison.

“To me the question is have they served a sentence that is sufficient to their crime? “
__________________________________________

While I do agree that most people don’t view felons...with positive thinking... I agree that this particular issue is indeed based upon the black community being hit with sentences that are much harsher than the while community.

I abhor drugs that harm folks. It really rubbed me wrong with Bidden associating white or non-black folks doing cocaine as being safer than folks in the black community doing crack.

A person of any race should be judged equally and if sent to jail/prison, should be sentenced equally.

I truly hope the black community backs Pres Trump in the voting booth.

I wouldn’t lose any sleep over it.

It will likely gain him more votes than he might lose and it’s not a make it or break it deal killer in voting for him.

Obama released illegal felons.

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/report-u-s-released-thousands-of-immigrant-felons-last-year/

I don’t see Trump doing THAT.
