Decided that I have to travel back to Long Beach, CA and vote in person because I have no faith in all the other alternatives available.

Ventura County also rolled out new touchscreen voting machines on Tuesday, but some polling places struggled to get them up and running in the morning. Even after tablets were operational, some poll workers said they didn’t offer the touchscreens, and several voters said they weren’t asked about using the electronic machines.
According to Nobriga, poll workers were trained to offer both the touchscreen and paper ballot as options. The elections division is looking into reports that some polling places didn’t set up the machines and others didn’t offer the option.
TOUCH, PRINT, DROP
Of course if you did NOT receive a ballot in the mail they have to have a place for you to go and get a provisional ballot and vote HOWEVER every registered voter received a ballot in the mail you can drop that filled out ballot at the polling place BUT it is NOT fed into a voting machine as usual voting would be!! Provisional ballots are signed and sealed just as the mailed ballots would be NOT fed into a voting machine just dropped into a box!! I don’t call that voting in person I want my ballot fed into a machine ON THE SPOT not carried away in some damn box going who knows where!,

Yes. You fill out the ballot and the put it into the optical scanner.
Well I am going to my polling place WITH my mailed ballot filled out just in case if I can vote in person on a machine I will do that but I think you are wrong but we will see!!

Shark, take a look at the Propositions. Prop 13 was a godsend to Californians when Howard Jarvis got it passed. Apparently there is a proposition on the ballot which will rescind Prop 13, but I don’t have the number offhand.
