You are reading it wrong. That bit about Castro and Kaepernick was added by the author of the original article as a little editorial comment. The real context is Aikman saying that it’s a lot of jet fuel being burned, Buck saying taxpayer money at work, and Aikam responding that under Bidden / Harris that won’t happen (i.e. they’ll be responsible with the money and probably suggestion of reducing carbon footprint too). Aiman, apparently, is a lefty.
