What I dont understand is why Wray didnt bury the shop owner after he buried the computer. The 7th floor generally tidies up such loose ends.

In his corrupted mind, that computer was perhaps leverage and protection - useful in the future.

Perhaps they were too ignorant on how computers operate and how easy it is to back up hard drive. In other words, once they had the lap top they thought they had it all.
The shop owner was smart enough to realize that if he had not copied the hard drive and delivered it to multiple places with the ability to publish, he would be dead by now. The key for him was multiple organizations who were not part of the Deep State Oligarchy or the Pravda structure before the Soviet Empire fell. So he chose the NY Post, the one large paper not hooked into to the DS Pravda model, and Breitbart, with Guliani as a key piece. If he is really smart, he has 2 or more unknown copies in the hands of folks he can absolutely trust as sort of ‘safe places’, in case the NY Post and Breitbart becomes compromised. Seth Rich should have known this, but did not.
I suppose the shop owner cleverly neglected to tell the FBI that he had bootleg copies made
I’m still trying to understand how Hunter, as drug addled as he is, didn’t know he lost his laptop. Also, I assume there has to be CCTV in the store and parking lot? This degree of serendipity boggles the mind.
