These diktats were promulgated only in the last few weeks. You can't sue against a diktat that hasn't been effected yet.

I can only answer for Michigan but the reason no one was working on it was the law was that you if you wanted to vote absentee you had to request a ballot every election and you had to have your ballot to the clerk by the close of voting on election day.
You also had to show valid ID to vote either absentee or in person.
But a couple of months ago our SOS and Witless decided they would rewrite the laws via EO.
They promptly were sued and the Michigan Supreme Court told Witless, Sorry, the law is the law.

Pure speculation, but I wonder if its more than coincidental that this sudden surge in positive developments has anything to do with the administrations recent hiring of Tom Fitton.
