A lot of people, even non-religious have a sense of foreboding that something major is happening.
Because those in charge of Portland, Chicago, NYC and Seattle will be in charge of America.

I think the world is about the convulse. It cannot keep building up its consequences forever and each passing year becomes harder to hold it back.

Seeing mayors order cops to stand down while a city is burning gets everybody’s attention, particularly when the mass media celebrates the virtue of the rioters.
At that point a reasonable person goes into “trust nobody, get rural, stockpile everything” mode in a hurry.

My wife’s best friend’s daughter lives with her husband and children near Minneapolis. They just bought 25 acres and a cabin with the intention of bugging out of town ASAP.
I don’t have a shortage of either canning jars of lids.
I saw it coming a long time ago and stocked up every time I went shopping.
You can’t find canning jars of lids to literally save your life these days.
AND, it is fragile!
