Then there are larger structures: My hospital has bought 3 new boilers in the last 5 years to heat the entire campus (34 acres, 13 buildings). The other large hospital in my city has bought 2 in the last 4 years. The naval base here just bought 3 new ones 9 years ago.
If you see a large building, the odds are pretty good that there is a boiler in there for at least domestic hot water, but usually building heating as well.
