That means that it’s around proportional to the people who do and do not wear masks, so it isn’t a statistically significant difference.

In airplanes the fresh air enters high,
The air returns are near the floor,
Drawing air down.
The air in a plane cabin is exchanged about every 3 minutes.

Food service people mainly transmit to coworkers.
They are the ones they are in prolonged contact with, not customers.

I saw some numbers from an area county health department.
The numbers between sit down restaurants and drive thru restaurants were almost identical.
And yet they were trying to blame the fact of infections on the fact that they were restaurants and the high flow of people.
Problem is, drive thrus workers are only “in contact” with customers a matter of seconds.
Now if you compare restaurant workers infection rates to those of office workers, I bet you’d find almost exact infection rates.

“The issue of it going out the sides is of course there, but it won’t have much forward velocity.”

What does FORWARD velocity have to do with squat? Is a virus particle squirted out the side as I walk through WalMart less infectious than one going forward? What if I turn my head? Or turn my body?

What about the stuff being forced UP instead of the normal downward velocity? Why is it better to thrust the virus up into the air instead of down toward the ground?

Is social distancing - what we call “being polite” in Arizona - something that only matters in front? Because no one can walk behind me? And no air conditioning system will pick anything up and thrust it all around the room?

I can only imagine if you were in the office room of my house. In there, you would likely fill the room with your repeated exhaled. Put in mind the Central Air system for heating and cooling isn’t constant, but the rooms in the house have limited space.
