“Regeneron which is a treatment, not the vaccine”
The article in Yahoo News says it promotes the production on of antibodies in the recipient. By implication that appears to a vaccine as well as a treatment.
But, does it matter? If the treatment is effective in allowing a patient to recover in 48-72 hours and is affordable, do we need a vaccine? If you get the virus and go get a shot/IV and in 48-72 hours you’ve recovered,this pandemic is over.
That appears to be what happened to PDJT. And, he has authorized 1 million doses/treatments at taxpayer expense.
The article is wrong. This is a monoclonal antibody infusion that does not stimulate an immune response. it is NOT a vaccine. It is a treatment that is based on the EXACT same science that the mRNA vaccine is based on. The IgG in the president was from his own immune system and appeared at the appropriate time after becoming infected. The infused antibodies were utilized to TREAT the infection. There are 1M doses of the EXPERIMENTAL medication used on the president, 330MM people in the US. This drug is NOT wisely available, and is being rationed according to hot sports.
It is important people understand, read, and comprehend the whole story.
Okay, Fai Mao.... we were all discussing the vaccine and you said, ” This is the treatment they gave the President. I’d say that gives it a lot of credibility”. So my mistake, I guess, because I took that to mean that you were saying because the Regeneron worked well on Trump, then that gives credibility to the vaccine, which is a leap to say the least.
So forgive me for not understanding your leap of reasoning.
However, my FRiend, you are right about the success of Regeneron leaving little use for a vaccine, much less a REQUIRED vaccine, and one that is only 50% effective. But we all know why they want the required vaccine.... in a nutshell... it’s all about control.
