They’re running ads in Texas. Either It’s that they have the kind of money that grows from a tree, which they do, or it’s for another reason I can’t imagine. They’re hoping for popular vote? More down ticket votes?
They will try really hard to steal Texas if they can do it. Not surprising that state is getting as much attention as possible.
Running ads in Texas suggests two possibilities that are at opposite ends of the spectrum.
1. They think they have the battleground states locked up and hope to add Texas, in order to be able to claim a bigger “mandate”.
2. They aren’t confident about getting enough of the battleground states to put Biden over the top, and putting resources into Texas is to create an alternate path to victory.
They are also spending big in California, makes no sense. Unless they know they will lose the EC and are just running up the popular vote to use the excuse and try and force the abandonment of the Electoral College. Two losses in a row, while wining the popular vote will be their biggest point in blowing up the EC.
Give it another week and he'll be visiting the same places dressed in a sombrero and a serape.

1) I read somewhere yesterday that Biden canceled ad buys in Texas this week.
2) Texas is not in play. They probably ran ads there for 2 reasons: 1) to trick rich, Austin liberals into thinking Texas is in play so they would donate tons of money to the DNC; 2) to prop up House candidates in the suburbs around Dallas, Houston, Austin, etc.
