South America is in a real food crisis right now.

What happens down there will certainly impact us here.

There is no food crisis. This is just another clarion call for U.S. taxpayers to cough up more money and freedoms to the UN.

These countries need to start adopting capitalism.

Biden wants American farmers to put their farmland into Gvt “land banks”.
Gvt would then tell farmers what “sustainable” plants they could grow.

Is this what’s it’s coming to?

I talked to the PepsiCo stocker at the local big-chain grocer, and said, where goeth real sugar Pepsi (which I detest with all soft drinks, but my family cannot abide without) and he laid down the tracks: "ALUMINUM SHORTAGE".

Whoa.

That's a big deal, if PepsiCo and others are eliminating their side brands to ride out an aluminum shortage wtf...the aluminum commodities market doesn't offer that indicator, steadily but not crazy climbing out of the shock COVID hole from March-May.

"The battle to feed all of humanity is over. In the 1970s hundreds of millions of people will starve to death in spite of any crash programs embarked upon now. At this late date nothing can prevent a substantial increase in the world death rate..."

Paul Ehrlich, The Population Bomb, 1968

This drivel was published 52 years ago. But Paul Ehrlich had a really cool, intellectual-sounding name.

Some of these places need to stop having children.

Maybe most of these places do.

Upstate NY...Stocking up a little more than usual...as still don't see stores fully stocked.

Have my sugar, coffee, creamer and all kinds of canned goods. Freezing some more chicken and pea soup.

Expecting a tough winter.

Michigan Bans Many Stores From Selling Seeds, Home Gardening Supplies, Calls Them “Not Necessary”

With the coronavirus quickly becoming a new normal, home gardening is taking off, as more and more Americans start to grow their own fruits and vegetables. But in Michigan, many stores have been barred from selling seeds, soils, plants, and other gardening supplies.

Last week, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer ordered all stores larger than 50,000-square feet to cordon off their garden centers and plant nurseries, blocking customers from shopping in those sections through April 30. “If you’re not buying food or medicine or other essential items, you should not be going to the store,” Whitmer said when announcing her order.

The shutdown follows an executive order from last month that’s been widely interpreted by many in the industry as banning greenhouses, independent garden centers, and plant nurseries from selling to the public, as part of a larger crackdown on activities deemed “not necessary to sustain or protect life.” (Curiously, the state’s list of “not necessary” items doesn’t include lottery tickets and liquor, which stores can continue to sell.)

This article would have some semblance of validity if it clearly laid out the political ideologies of the countries affected...

Without describing the actual things leading to starvationdemics, the article is just propaganda/nonsense...
