President Bush politicized adoption and my little sister - my family and America never forgot it (I never forgave). It is historically noted as a dark mark on American political history.
Do not do to Amy Coney Barretts family what was done to mine, democrats. It won't end well.— Meghan McCain (@MeghanMcCain) September 26, 2020

Vaguley remembered what this was referring to and had to look it up...
6) The myth: Sen. John McCain had an illegitimate black child.
The facts: There was an effort during the 2000 GOP presidential primaries to start a smear campaign against John McCain, who was running a tight race against George W. Bush in South Carolina, saying the Arizona senator had an illegitimate black child.
In an interview with NBC’s “Today Show” last year, political operative Karl Rove, who was said to have been behind the story, shot down the claim. He said he had “nothing to do” with the rumor, adding that it came from “a professor at Bob Jones University” and not the Bush campaign.
McCain and his wife, Cindy, have an adopted daughter from Bangladesh.
Bush ended up winning South Carolina 53% to 42%.

Meghan loves to hold grudges even when they are baseless.
Meghan! How can we miss you when you won’t leave?
Meghan loves to hold grudges even when they are baseless.
And you know its baseless because Karl Rove told you so
Theres still a lot of residual Bush worship here on Freerepublic
What is this Pinniped talking about?
didnt democrats dredge that up again in 2008?
Meghan! How can we miss you when you wont leave?
Thats right, reflexively defend Karl Rove and George Bush. Its the sheeple thing to do.
Bush jr. tried to smear McCains adopted daughter in S. Carolina.
Never forgot it? Never heard of it!
Could McCain have defeated Gore in 2000?
Stupid comment from you. Meghan said it was President Bush. Where is the evidence? I know McCain loves to hold grudges because Rove told me? I know McCain loves to hold grudges after what all Trump did for her family for the funeral and everyone still bashed him at the funeral and her Joe Biden endorsement.
Here’s an article on it. Bush denied it. I’m not defending Bush. Just stating what was said at the time. McCain can show the evidence that it was President Bush if she has it. But typical John McCain at the time got angry and played the victim. And like father like daughter she is still holding on to it 20 years later.

It’s almost like holding a full glass of beer with a head of foam. Just scrape away the ‘lather’ of Megyn’s compulsive grudge match declarations and what do we really have?
Translation: Is this Miss Meghan’s circuitous way of saying
of saying “I support President Trump’s nominee for SCOTUS?”
She just could not bring herself to openly and clearly voice that support?
To which President Trump might say; “Thanks, Meghan, I guess.
I know that must have been hard for you to say.”
It's an argument worthy of ... a democrat. That is ... disconnected, emotional, accusatory and without evidence.
Yikes! Go over to DU. Either that or get some tutoring in basic logic. Does the fact that I'm wearing shorts right make me a tennis player?
How can I miss you when YOU won't leave?
You are probably right on with that. Same thing with the Bushes. They wanted Larry Hogan to primary Trump so they would have another Republican choice. Now they didn’t get that and they see all the good Trump is doing and how bad Biden will be but they still can’t say they are supporting the Republican party. The McCains and Bushes are all stupid grudge holders.
If you are a Lord McCain sycophant, that is far more deranged than the biggest Bush bot. Lord McCain was the dregs of political punks.

I cant stand Bush or McCain. Unlike you Ill bet, I voted against Bush in 2004 and against McCain in 2008. (And against Romney in 2012). I didnt come back to the GOP until Trump came down the escalator.
