Access to lots of documentaries. Looks like good content. Inexpensive. Has anyone tried?
Watching “The History of Europe” on it now, so far I like it a lot.
Watching about Segway inventor right now...watched about owls last night...we can usually find something interesting...one program on Supplements we watched a couple months ago was bunk...but as usual you have to evaluate everything. 2.99/mo we consider it well worth it.
It’s ok. I’ve had it for more than 5 years—since it first started.
I watched it a lot but quickly ran thru all the content.
I still watch it now and then, but not as much.
Not sure. I think I’ve seen some trailers, or free content. Mostly I use YouTube, along with Amazon Prime.

Sounds like Netflix ca. 2007, but with bandwidth.
Give it a few years and it'll get woke.
I have had it about a year, i don’t tend to watch it slack jawed so that has to be worth something.
yeah...I have found
YouTube to be food for short documentaries. but the get exhausted easily.
I’m wondering if it has an adjustable streaming quality rate or if it’s a humongous eater of bandwidth that can’t be changed.
Thanks for posting this> I can’t wait to check it out.
That's my lineup, too. Although I did add KLOWD TV when they offered One America News free through Dec. 31! And it really is free!
oh, let me know. I was worried that the content woud be exhausted easily and quickly. Appears tone the case. But hope I am wrong.
I always prefer non-fiction to fiction ...so it’s right up my alley. you Tube took it’s place but it needs a better method to organize content.
Thanks! [snip] Charles Herring, president of San Diego-based Herring Networks Inc., owner of One America News Network, bought KlowdTV and is relaunching it under the same name as a one-stop shop for viewers who want to cut their cable bills and have an alternative to Fox News. [/snip]

There’s a good number of sites that aggregate and list docs at places like Youtube, e.g.
http://documentarylist.net
https://documentaryheaven.com
http://documentaries-plus.blogspot.com
and so on.
A lot (most, maybe all) the Time Team episodes are up there; Prime only carries something like four or five seasons. Michael Wood docs are all over YT, most re not available on Prime (or on the BBC website, apparently); loads on Roman Empire (including a bunch on Pompeii et l), Bettany Hughes on ancient Greece, and the more you watch, the more previously unseen ones pop up on recommended vids on Roku. :^)
Thanks for that great info. I now feel like I’m better informed!
My pleasure, and thanks for the kind remarks! I went to add Curiousity Stream to my Roku selections, and it was already in there. [blush] Added Klowd though..
I had seen some of those episodes before but didn’t remember from where. They are interesting and informative. You’ll enjoy them.
Having fun with Science Asylum. It for some reason evokes the feeling of watching Curly of the Stooges lecture upon quantum physics, and actually pull it off.
Pretty good service. Curiosity Stream has nature, science and astronomy shows mixed in with a few on history. History channel has a History Vault service that is 100% on history. No scripted or reality shows.
