I don’t think it has to be foreign...we have plenty of people and organizations here in the media to keep this going. While McCarthy’s techniques were wrong, he correctly saw that the media of his time were being used by the left, foreign and domestic, to promote and protect Communism. Thus it is true the media builds acceptance of the left and tolerance of its violence at a popular level.

In the 60s, bad though they were, the authorities were not on the side of the rioters and bombers; now they are, starting with the mayors and governors and going all the way to certain Senators and former presidents.
