She was so conceited that she couldn’t imagine that another liberal could be as far left as her so she stayed in hoping Hillary would win. Then she wouldn’t leave because of her desire to be in a position of power.

me: I totally agree. Her judicial career was a tragedy for America. Her last few years were a double tragedy — for our nation and constitution, obviously.....AND for herself as a person. She definitely should have retired several years ago and found more constructive pastimes, interests, things to do that she enjoyed (and that didn’t inflict any more damage on anyone).
That’s the problem with a lifetime position oon the SC....you end up basically servant to the party as a place holder.
Heck Pelosi was going to retire had Hillary won...we know how that went.
