About frigging time a President makes such an announcement to counter the socialist/communist indoctrination in our public funded schools. I never thought I’d hear such. BTW, the Department of Education should be dismantled. Unfortunately, I think it would take an act of Congress to do it. However, Pres. Trump could fire the Secretary of Education and in other ways make it just a shell of what exists today. The Fedgov has never had the authority of dictating standards of education. Find it in the Constitution if you dare. Education is a municipal and State province.
How long will it take for this to filter through the bureaucracy down to the school level to the point we actually see something other than chronic America-bashing from teachers and staff?
With today’s crop of union public school teachers I don’t feel it would be taught very well.
