A leaked email from a former top official at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) says that the department has “overwhelming intelligence” that the extremist violence in Portland was “organized” by individuals with an ideology categorized as “Violent Antifa Anarchist Inspired” (VAAI).

The “organized anarchists” have been a running sick joke for decades. These are not new orgs.

Either the DoJ is clueless or they’ve been covering for the anarchists. I think the latter. Antifa is full of FBI moles, just like the Aryan Nations. It’s an old trick. Get people to commit crimes so they can be arrested and a bonus is that they can demand more money and power to fix the problem they started. Shrinks do this too. Make people nuts and then say, “Look at all those crazy people. Give us money and power.”
Yeah, they’ve been doing this same thing pretty much yearly since the 1999 WTO protests in Seattle. “Black Bloc”, “Occupy Wall Street”, “Antifa”, they are all the same crowd, same tactics, same goals.

I don’t think so. During the Obama years, all domestic counterterrorism was shifted to imaginary “right wing” threats. They didn’t even allow for the possibility that communists and anarchists could be domestic terrorists, much less provide funding for agents to infiltrate those groups.
Maybe Trump and Barr have changed that now, but I’d bet that the vast majority of FBI informants are still hanging out in KKK and militia groups, not the actual terror groups that are out on the street fomenting insurrection.
Maybe they should forward it to DOJ.
