According to a pre-release excerpt from the Washington Post Bob Woodward writes about a discussion between General James Mattis and Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats about a plot to overthrow the elected government of the United States.
[ ] Mattis quietly went to Washington National Cathedral to pray about his concern for the nations fate under Trumps command and, according to Woodward, told Coats, There may come a time when we have to take collective action since Trump is dangerous. Hes unfit. (read more)
What do you call a conversation between the Defense Secretary and the head of the U.S. intelligence apparatus where they are talking about taking collective action to remove an elected President? Thats called sedition . A seditious conspiracy.
As alarming as that sounds on its face, this actually aligns with our own previous research into key military leadership, the joint chiefs, and their corrupt intent to overthrow the elected government. Readers will remember when we noted this very issue after Lt. General Alexander Vindman compromised his position yet was not removed by his command structure within the Pentagon.
NOVEMBER 2019 [ ] For emphasis let me repeat a current fact that is being entirely overlooked. Despite his admitted usurpation of President Trump policy, Vindman was sent back to his post in the NSC with the full support of the United States Department of Defense.
The onus of action to remove Vindman from the NSC does not just lay simply at the feet of the White House and National Security advisor Robert OBrien; and upon whose action the removal of Vindman could be positioned as political; the necessary, albeit difficult or perhaps challenging, obligation to remove Lt. Col Vindman also resides purposefully with the Dept. of Defense....

I DON’T THINK MATTIS HAS EVER HAD RESPECT FOR THE CHAIN OF COMMAND.
The Commander-in-Chief is the President - which Mattis ignored and still does.
Mattis worked for the President. In his resignation letter letter never mentioned that. He mentioned the troops but never acknowledged the man he worked for.
Trump fired him because after giving him 9 months to come up with a withdrawal plan for troops in the Middle East, Trump came to learn that Mattis totally ignored that “order” and that Mattis acted as though the President worked for him.
Mattis, you are a low-life, insubordinate, disloyal douchebag.
Wow, Woodward threw General Mattis under the bus, saying worse things about him than President Trump ever did.
I remember calling Dan Coats office and asking specifically what is/was the nature and extent of Russian interference in the 2016 election. It would be an understatement to say his office was not forthcoming.
Aside from the fact that its Woodward, theres only 3 people who could have divulged this supposed conversation, Mattis (unlikely), Coates (probably), or the ever present unnamed source who heard it from someone else. Id be inclined to find a good bit of truth in this story formthe fact that we have a conversation between two named people and Woodward is noting it. That said, Mattis is and was a grade 1 POS, he should probably be hung or shot and hes also a fag. Was never impressed with him.
Let’s see what Mattis says in the next few days.
I missed today’s media kerfuffel, something about Woodward’s book. But, it seems to be over with already. Is this story from the same book? I bet this will be over with by the time I get up tomorrow. These hit pieces just seem to lob overhead like a flying buzz bombs. You start to ignore it after a while.
Even if Mattis didn’t say these things I’ll bet he wishes he had said them so I expect silence from the dog. He won’t confirm or deny.
Yeah, sure.
Mattis is going to have to speak up here. I don’t trust Woodward, at all. Should be interesting.
Silence speaks volumes...
So, I’m very interested to see Mattis’ reaction to all this.
Hey, look at Bolton?
Sigh. I have been wrong on many things in my life. I suppose my batting average is probably good for being right...for a batting average.
Exactly my thoughts. I was beside myself with joy when he picked Mattis- but shortly after I read a long and disturbing piece about his connection to Theranos and started getting uneasy. That never went away and he turned out to be a HUGE disappointment.
Still- I hope this isn’t true- it’s frightening. Woodward embellishes- I hope that’s the case here.
Bob Woodward says that Dan Coats said that Mattis said ... pfft
Let me know when it’s “Mattis says.”
So did the Democrats.
President Trump put his trust in his picks and some betrayed him and the United States people.
I hope it is embellishment as well, but to be honest, I was discouraged by his insubordinate conduct as SecDef, and there is little he can do that will surprise me.
If you could win 55% of your games as a MLB pitcher, you’d make gazillions... Never understood baseball after figuring that out...
That’s the problem with people like Woodward, the democrats and the Never Trumpers.
They prevaricate and lie so much that you can nere believe anything they say.
At any rate, Mattis was a HUGE disappointment.
He came in with a legend as a Super Patriot Warrior and went out like just another sniveling leftist whiner.
WHY WHY? Would you talk to someone like this? he has done this countless times and they keep letting this snake in.
