If it puts up with the political crap, they are not a great Police Department. They are hired Goons, Enforcers. They don’t have to put up with the political crap. They can vote with their feet and leave. They can tell their political masters their soul is worth more than a paycheck. If they haven’t enforced the law[s] of the State of New York fairly and impartially they have violated the oath they swore to anyway.
