Pelosi Responds to Getting Caught Maskless at the Salon and It Only Made Things So Much Worse (says she wants an apology)

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was caught walking through a salon in California with no mask, getting her hair done. The entire incident was broken down on Tuesday by Tucker Carlson, who raked Pelosi over the coals for her hypocrisy and her abuse of power.

It took some time but Pelosi has finally responded and it only solidifies her position as one of the most corrupt politicians in the history of America.

“I take responsibility for trusting the word of the neighborhood salon that I’ve been to…many times…It was a setup, and I take responsibility for falling for a setup,” said Pelosi during a press conference.

“I think that this salon owes me an apology, for setting me up,” Pelosi said.

Pelosi isn’t sorry that she’s abusing her power. She’s not feeling at all guilty that she’s getting a blowout while family members can’t visit their dying relatives in hospitals or attend their funerals. She’s not going to say anything about the hypocrisy she’s clearly been caught in.

She wants an apology for getting caught.

She wants the owner of the salon she went to that other Californians can’t use to apologize to her because the camera that she had in the place recorded Pelosi abusing her position as an elected representative and being a massive hypocrite on two levels. Firstly in the fact that she’s one of those who actively declare that wearing a mask is one of the utmost virtues and the fact that, according to her, “no one is above the law.”

One Twitter user summed up the situation very well.

"Pelosi addresses Monday's salon incident: “I take responsibility for trusting the word of the neighborhood salon that I’ve been to...many times…It was a set up, and I take responsibility for falling for a setup.” “I think that this salon owes me an apology, for setting me up" This would be absolutely disgusting behavior from anyone but doubly so from an elected politician, who clearly has no sympathy for Californians who are watching as their lives circle the drain from lack of work. She feels no remorse for what is obviously a moment of massive wrongdoing.

If Pelosi wasn’t a horrid person she would have apologized for her behavior but she can’t even do that. She wants to be apologized to, not apologize to you.

It’s sad that she’ll likely suffer no repercussions for this by her constituency, but that’s likely why she feels she can live like royalty while the serfs suffer.

NOBODY is stupid enough to believe the salon forced her to come in and have her hair done while not wearing a mask. It’s ludicrous to think a salon has that much power over the Speaker of the House.
Nancy probably threatened to harm the salon owner somehow if she didn’t open the salon and give Nancy an appointment.

She's not saying that.

She is saying they set a trap, a mouse trap where the bait (cheese) was the service without a mask.

She says they lied to her about the law, that she had no idea what the law was and depended on them to tell her.

She says she was the victim and demands an apology.

Her nephew is the governor and she had no idea what the law was? Since when is it the service provider’s responsibility to teach the client the law?
I stand by my original assessment. SHE called the salon and demanded they open for her and she never intended to wear a mask indoors. She wasn’t coerced into anything.

Salon owner Erica Kious, whp appeared on the Tucker Carslon show, also did a phone interview with Fox News, in which she shared details of Pelosi’s visit.

<><> Kious explained she has independent stylists working for her who rent chairs in her salon.

<><> “One of the stylists who rents a chair from me contacted me Sunday night,” Kious said.

<><> A text message from the stylist to Kious, said that he would open the salon at 2:45 since Pelosi's assistant messaged the stylist to do her hair.

<><> A screengrab of the stylists's text message obtained by Fox News, said: “I’ll be there at 2:45PM since Pelosi's assistant messaged me to do her hair.”

<><> Kious replied: “Pelosi?”

<><> “I was like, are you kidding me right now? Do I let this happen? What do I do?”

Kious told Fox News, while noting that she "can’t control” what her stylists do if they rent chairs from her, as “they’re not paying” at this time.

Salon owner Kious cast Pelosi’s visit as a double standard. “It was a slap in the face that she went in, that she feels that she can just go and get her stuff done while no one else can go in, and I can’t work,” Kious told Fox News, adding that she “can’t believe” the speaker didn’t have a mask on. “We’re supposed to look up to this woman, right?” Kious said. “It is just disturbing.”

Asked for comment, Pelosi spokesman Drew Hammill maintained that the speaker was following the rules as presented to her. “The Speaker always wears a mask and complies with local COVID requirements. This business offered for the Speaker to come in on Monday and told her they were allowed by the city to have one customer at a time in the business. The Speaker complied with the rules as presented to her by this establishment,” he said.

“We have been shut down for so long, not just me, but most of the small businesses and I just can’t – it’s a feeling – a feeling of being deflated, helpless and honestly beaten down,” Kious said. “I have been fighting for six months for a business that took me 12 years to build to reopen,” she explained. “I am a single mom, I have two small children, and I have no income.” She added: “The fact that they did this, and she came in, it’s like a slap in the face.”

Kious told Fox News that she had expected to be able to reopen her salon in July, and prepared her space in accordance with local guidelines. “There were rules and regulations to go by to safely reopen, which I did, but I was still not allowed to open my business,” she said, noting that she installed plexiglass partitions between sinks and seating areas, and ensured that all salon chairs were six feet apart, along with proper air circulation from open windows. “They never let us open,” she said.

Kious added she is unable to reopen outside (which is permissible) because her salon specializes in hair color, and using chemicals outside is prohibited.

======================================

The revelation that the salon specializes in hair coloring (not just blowouts) might also explain Nancy's appearing in public with what appeared to expertly-applied "highlights" accenting her usual hair coloring that disguises graying hair.

Kious said Pelosi received a wash and a blow-dry, but told Fox News that “you’re not supposed to blow dry hair” according to coronavirus safety precautions for hair salons.

“Going mobster on the salon owner and demanding an apology ... was a huge mistake politically.”

That’s so true. Beating down a single mother with two small kids, just getting by, no money coming in because of Pelosi’s own rules ... whew! A LOT of people can identify with the owner.

Also, was the stylist who served Pelosi reprimanded in any way? I don’t see how the stylist could possibly have denied Pelosi, though, since she is mobbed up. That’s a classic “between a rock and a hard place” situation.

I have to wonder why the Salon owner hasn’t fired the salon worker for allowing Pelosi to enter her closed salon. No word on if he was or wasn’t fired.
My understanding is that the person who treated Pelosi is an independent contractor with his own clientele who rents a chair and the facilities from the owner.

Right. But if they are not to be open and this independent booked an appointment then the owner should fire that person. That independent now has an attorney and the attorney is stating the owner has been taking clients since April and they have video and photo’s and witnesses to prove it. Man, hope the owner has not been doing that as her exposing Pelosi will back-fire.
