It was a year or so after I got him, that I even asked what the heck a “F.CH.” meant on his pedigree.

We used to have field trials locally but they seem to have gone away.

I didn’t know he could do as well as he did but the dog was uncanny smart and I figured what the heck.
Give him a try.

Who knew he was hiding that talent?

I made use of it later, though.
He and I went groundhog hunting so I could catch and play with the babies.
Those, he’d run down and bring back to me.
I’d play with them for a bit then put them back near their dens.
Pretty sure all the groundhog moms hated me.

120? that is a big damn Dobe! the largest we had was Amos and he was like 110.
We had loads of Dobes, 13 at one point.

Honestly, I do not know where he's keeping it.

He's perfect standard size, 28 3/4" tall, which is almost 2 inches shorter than my late, beloved Bubby who weighed an average of 98-99 pounds.

Even Bubby's harness didn't fit him because he's 38" around the chest.

Dog is a Euro Dobe and packs a lot of muscle, I reckon.

When he was a year and half

He's filled out a lot, since then, especially his haunches.

Which is funny when you consider that his registered name is Grimnir’s Herger The Joyous.

Didn’t know he was the 13th until a year *after* he was named.
