Just need to make sure the finances are in order, there’s a fallback position for line of work, and so on, if possible.
It’s a suggestion I myself wouldn’t take.
Real toughness is hard. It’s easy to throw a punch. I’ve done those.
I’ve also spoken out when the odds were 40 to 1 against me but two of the three managers were conservatives so I was good :-)
plus I was in that investment bank for a while and I would have had a massive lawsuit if I was the only person ley go because the reason why would have been obvious.
and that was also the early 2000s and things were very different.
I hate to say it but I think I would make a small comments here or there but not buckle the company enough to get fired. They are doing it too easily these days and a very good job is something you hate to lose.
So I guess I’m a coward :-)
I don’t have a wife and kids. That’s another thing for these married guys. Is it courageous to risk your wife and kids’ roof and food.
I have no answers. In fact I should just keep my mouth shut from now on :-)
