that would have been better to have a 12 gauge with 3 inch buck shot.
Not without friends loaded up as well. It takes a lot of reloads and a big bag of shells.
The disadvantage of 3” buck is that it increases your recovery time to get your sights back on target/your barrel back down over 2.75”. In a scenario where you may need to fire as quickly as you can, controllability and rapid following shots is your priority - at least IMHO.
In such scenarios, such as guarding a glass storefront or door, a pump gun can be too slow.
