Thanks. Due to a chronic and dangerously low platelet count, as well as other maladies (I’m a human lab rat), I get blood work done about four times a year by two different doctors (one my GP; the other, a hematologist/oncologist). They monitor my WBC and PSA pretty closely. If anything goes even slightly askew, they catapult me to another specialist. I think I’ve seen radiology three times since 2018, and just had an upper GI endoscopic procedure done (as can be testified to by the stack of bills for my co-pay). And I’m claustrophobic, which I didn’t know until they tried to give me a CT scan in 2019. They’ll need to knock me out like a cold fish if they want to stuff me back into that cylinder again.

There is a strange X-ray “broken glass” problem that occurs at the bottom of both lungs on the most advanced cases.

For anything not exactly that, everyone should be getting a COVID test to prove they don’t have it.

Well, they finally did, but it took 3 weeks and 2 return visits to the ER. They were busy with covid patients.

Does any biologist, chemist, scientist know the effects of long term mask wearing on the Krebs Cycle?

CAT scans are just through a short ring.

It is MRIs that are big tubes. I hate them and I’m not claustrophobic.

But they do seem to be getting faster over even the last 5 years so it’s not quite as bad.

I’m shocked they wouldn’t have checked for that. Major mallratice if that had a bad outcome. Are there high #s of Covid hospitalizations in the region?

Yes, Ft. Lauderdale last May - lots of cases. He now is better than they expected him to be. He is able to walk on the beach; last month that was impossible.

Potato, potahto, CAT, MRI, they run you through it. I have issues when my arms are pinned to my sides. X-rays and ultrasounds I can deal with (ultrasounds by a pretty nurse are relaxing; I think I asked one out once. My wife didn’t approve.), but I’m like a bear popping it’s jaws if someone says “Just lay still, this will be over in a few minutes.”
