I asked my primary care physician if he would prescribe HCQ if I was infected. He said that Kaiser would not allow him to do it because HCQ has not been verified by a clinical trial as a treatment for coronavirus. The problem is, I don’t know of any U.S. clinical trials for HCQ underway. For what I know, a U.S. clinical trial is necessary. The foreign ones do not meet the requirements.

Your doctor is a spineless dumbass, be sure to tell him you know you are on your own for the first five days of illness when is the best chance to beat it. See if he has the balls to refuse you in writing and refer you for a second opinion. Chances are he will get HCQ for himself and his family
And ask that puss if he does any prescribing of any drug off label.
