I used to think Lee Greenwood was kind of a hack. Then about a year ago I caught an interview with him on NPR. He was talking about how he started out in burlesque clubs. He had a great sense of humor & was quite humble. I became a fan.

I hate this song. It's just annoying. Especially the line, "Who gave that right to me".

Sure, if I was deployed and he came to sing it, I'd stand up and watch all the people with tears in their eyes.

But I hate that song.

.Let's see how many personal attacks and cuss words I get. 8~)

I love this song and it comes with a great memory for me.

On the 4th of July after 9-11,we were watching fireworks from the lawn of a neighborhood Church. A bunch of neighbors were there. All of a sudden my kids started start signing this song and everybody joined in!

It was wonderful to see united Americans.
