My Gov (Baker) did not lock folks down. His mandates have been specific. But the mask thing is local as well as state. It’s pretty encompassing, but not draconian.
But, my point is I can talk to my local Health Commissioner, I can vote out my selectmen. The Feds are in no position to do this.

We pretty much already have that. Most stores require it. Most states have some form of it. The mask rules were implemented state by state. So what they really want is nationwide control of rules like this. These people are nuts.

The virus has been around for at least 6 months now, and all of a sudden the day after Jamaican Camel is on the ticket, a mask mandate is their most important policy statement.

IDK, it depends on whether or not you think the government should be able to mandate something in the name of the public good. It's a respiratory disease, masks will help mitigate the spread. It would be good if everyone wore one because then fewer people would die.
