Harris is NOT “black”. Her parents are from India and Jamaica, respectively. At best, she is a “woman of color”.

Most Jamaicans are black. Every time I hear this argument I feel like we are somehow claiming only black Americans are black, which is just as bad as Biden’s sentiments.

Was thinking perehaps the whole purpose of this “anti”-Heels article was to help cement her “black woman” status with anyone still on the fence.

Big Media knows what they’re doing, and the demented pedophile’s handlers will never concede the 2020 election.

I think the media should stop referring to her as black..but African American isn’t accurate either. I think your choice of “woman of color” is more appropriate.

I’ve seen this more often: “”Harris is the second African American woman and the first South Asian American to serve in the United States Senate”” but according to some definitions, she doesn’t fit the African American label either. She is not a descendant of enslaved black people from the United States. Does anyone know why it couldn’t have remained BLACK? We called them negroes or blacks when I was growing up - eons ago.

How come we don’t see “AFRICAN AMERICAN LIVES MATTER’? I thought they preferred that label - see below:

African Americans (also referred to as Black Americans or Afro-Americans)[3] are an ethnic group of Americans with total or partial ancestry from any of the black racial groups of Africa.[4][5] The term African American generally denotes descendants of enslaved black people who are from the United States.[6][7][8]
